4-hydroxy-N,N-Diisopropyltryptamine is a tryptamine and psilocin analog, also related to N,N-DIPT. It is known to be shorter acting than psilocin or psilocybin and has its own distinct effects. Alexander Shulgin states in TIHKAL that it may have tremendous therapeutic potential due to its short duration and very powerful effects. 4hoDIPT lasts from 3-4 hours with a very intense onset, and is usually found in hydrochloride form (making it possibly less stable than 4-acetoxy Fumarate salts). It is currently an unscheduled substance in most countries, but may fall under the analog act. There are no publicized areests or prosecutions for this substance, nor does it have a known LD50. It is theorized to be about the same as psilocin in terms of safety margin
